The Fraud Accountability Act makes fraud a deportable offense for aliens and grants courts the authority to revoke the citizenship of any naturalized U.S. citizen convicted of fraud. This applies to fraud committed against any private individual, fund, corporation, or government entity on or after September 30, 1996, if the alien was not arrested, charged, or indicted before the enactment of this Act. The Act also mandates that courts revoke the citizenship of any naturalized U.S. citizen convicted of fraud.
