The American Battlefield Protection Program Amendments Act of 2025 extends the program through 2035, modifies cost-sharing requirements, and mandates studies on French and Indian War and Mexican-American War sites. The Secretary of the Interior must prepare studies on these sites, assess their significance and threats, and consult with relevant entities. The bill also removes certain cost-sharing requirements and increases the federal matching grant percentage for battlefield interpretation modernization and battlefield restoration grant programs.
