DIRECT Act of 2025 allows interstate internet sales of State-inspected meat and poultry.
The DIRECT Act of 2025 amends the Federal Meat Inspection Act and the Poultry Products Inspection Act to permit retail stores, restaurants, and similar establishments to sell State-inspected meat and poultry products over the internet and ship them by carrier within the United States, excluding exports.
