Preventive Home Visit Act provides Medicare coverage for preventive home visits every two years.
The Preventive Home Visit Act amends title XVIII of the Social Security Act to include coverage of preventive home visits under Medicare. These visits, conducted by qualified professionals, assess the home environment, identify health risks, and provide referrals for interventions or home modifications to improve physical function, balance, strength, mobility, reduce falls risk factors, or enhance nutrition. The visits can be conducted in-person, remotely, or a combination of both.
