Healthcare for Our Troops Act eliminates certain health care charges for members of the Selected Reserve eligible for TRICARE Reserve Select.
The Healthcare for Our Troops Act amends the TRICARE Reserve Select program to eliminate certain health care charges for members of the Selected Reserve. Members of the Selected Reserve are eligible for TRICARE Reserve Select coverage, which includes no charge for in-network services. Family members of these members are also eligible for coverage, with premiums applying instead of enrollment fees. The Secretary of Defense must develop forms for civilian health care providers within 180 days of the Act's enactment. The changes apply one year after the Act's enactment.
