Establishes requirements for quality and discard date phrases on food labels.

The Food Date Labeling Act of 2025 sets requirements for quality and discard date phrases on food labels. These phrases, which are voluntarily declared by the entity responsible for the food label, must be in a single easy-to-read type style and placed in a conspicuous and prominent place on the food label. The quality date phrase indicates when the product's quality may begin to deteriorate, while the discard date phrase signifies the end of the estimated period of shelf life.
