The National Park System Long-Term Lease Investment Act authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to extend certain leases within units of the National Park System without opening the lease to bidding. This applies if the lessee has been in compliance for at least five years and the extension is deemed to be in the best interests of the park's administration. The Secretary is required to revise relevant regulations within 90 days of the Act's enactment to reflect this new authority.
