Expands Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 to include public employees.
The Public Service Worker Protection Act amends the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 to expand coverage to include public employees. The changes take effect 90 days after enactment for most workplaces, with a 36-month delay for states without an approved state plan. The Act does not affect the application of section 18 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.
