Permits registered investment companies to exclude certain fees from acquired fund fees and expenses calculations.
The Access to Small Business Investor Capital Act allows registered investment companies to omit certain fees from the calculation of acquired fund fees and expenses. Specifically, these companies can exclude fees and expenses incurred indirectly from investments in shares of acquired funds that are business development companies. This change applies to investment company registration statements filed under the Investment Company Act of 1940.
