Bans federal funds for drugs made in China, requires active ingredient origin labeling.
The Anyone But China Safe Drug Act prohibits federal health programs from purchasing drugs made in China. Starting January 1, 2028, these programs can only buy drugs with at least 60% of active ingredients made in other countries. By January 1, 2030, 100% of active ingredients must be made outside China. The bill also requires drug labels to specify the origin of each active ingredient. The act allows waivers for certain needs but prohibits waivers for drugs purchased after January 1, 2031.
