EASE Act aims to improve access to specialty health services for Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries.
The Ensuring Access to Specialty Care Everywhere Act, or EASE Act, amends the Social Security Act to require the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation to test a model for improving access to specialty health services. The model involves agreements with provider networks, primarily composed of Federally qualified health centers, rural health clinics, critical access hospitals, or rural emergency hospitals. These networks must be nonprofit entities with a history of supporting health care in rural and underserved areas.
