Lower Drug Costs for Families Act amends Medicare to apply prescription drug inflation rebates to commercial market drugs and changes rebate.

The Lower Drug Costs for Families Act amends title XVIII of the Social Security Act to apply prescription drug inflation rebates to drugs furnished in the commercial market. It also changes the base year for rebate calculations from 2021 to 2016. These changes are set to take effect for applicable periods beginning on or after October 1, 2025.
