The Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act amends the Federal Reserve Act to prohibit Federal Reserve banks from offering products or services directly to individuals, maintaining accounts on their behalf, or issuing a central bank digital currency. It defines a central bank digital currency as a digital asset denominated in the national unit of account, a liability of the Federal Reserve System, and widely available to the public.
