Mr. Amo (for himself and Mr. Magaziner) submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Education and Workforce
RESOLUTION
Honoring the victims and survivors of the December 13, 2025, mass shooting at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
- (1) condemns this senseless act of violence and offers its condolences to those killed and injured and their families and loved ones;
- (2) honors the memory of Ella Cook and Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov;
- (3) commends the first responders who responded to the tragedy;
- (4) expresses its solidarity with the Brown University community, the City of Providence, and the State of Rhode Island; and
- (5) recognizes that the scourge of gun violence will not end without Congressional action.
