This resolution seeks to establish March 21, 2026, as 'National Women in Agriculture Day' to formally recognize and celebrate the contributions of women throughout the agricultural sector. The resolution acknowledges that women constitute more than one-third of agricultural producers in the United States, representing over 1.2 million female agricultural producers who collectively generated $222 billion in agricultural sales in 2022, accounting for 41 percent of total agriculture sales. The resolution aims to highlight women's multifaceted roles in agriculture, including their work as producers, researchers, manufacturers, educators, business leaders, advocates, and mentors.
