The Medicare Access to Rural Anesthesiology Act amends the Social Security Act to provide payment under Medicare Part A for anesthesia services furnished by anesthesiologists in certain rural hospitals and critical access hospitals. The bill also excludes these anesthesia services from the operating costs of inpatient hospital services and defines "physicians' services" to exclude these anesthesia services for cost reporting purposes.
