The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is responsible for enforcing this Act, with the ability to bring civil actions against violators. State attorneys general can also bring actions on behalf of residents of their states. The Act includes provisions for civil penalties, private enforcement, and exclusive jurisdiction for certain courts.
