The Paraquat Prevention Act seeks to cancel the registration of paraquat and prohibit its sale and use.

The Paraquat Prevention Act aims to cancel the registration of all uses of the pesticide paraquat, deeming it to cause unreasonable adverse effects on the environment. The Environmental Protection Agency Administrator is prohibited from reregistering paraquat and must revoke any tolerance or exemption for paraquat residues in food. The Act also prohibits the continued sale and use of existing stocks of paraquat.
