The Federal Cryptocurrency Theft Enforcement and Coordination Act establishes the Federal Cryptocurrency Theft Task Force within the Department of Justice. The Task Force will coordinate efforts among federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to prevent, investigate, and prosecute cryptocurrency theft. It will also facilitate information sharing, develop best practices, and provide training to state and local agencies. The Task Force will not regulate cryptocurrency or expand federal agency authority.
