The bill grants law enforcement authority to the Office of the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community.

The Intelligence Community Inspector General Parity Act of 2026 amends the National Security Act of 1947 to provide the Office of the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community with law enforcement authority. This includes applying the provisions of section 406(f) of title 5, United States Code, to the Office. The bill also makes a conforming amendment to section 406(f)(3) of title 5, United States Code, to include the Office of the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community.
