FRESH Act funds grants for milk storage equipment in schools.

The FRESH Act amends the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act to establish a grant program for eligible entities to acquire and install milk storage equipment in elementary and secondary schools. The Secretary of Agriculture will award these grants competitively, with a federal share not exceeding 75%. The act authorizes $4,000,000 annually for fiscal years 2027 through 2031. Eligible entities include local educational agencies, school food authorities, tribal organizations, and consortia involving these entities.
