The RESTORE Third Spaces Act of 2026 aims to revitalize third spaces, which are public areas that support social, cultural, and economic life but do not primarily function as residences or workplaces. The Act establishes a pilot program administered by the Secretary of Commerce to award grants to eligible entities for renovating and developing these spaces. At least 60% of the funds must go to entities serving low-income and underserved communities. The pilot program will run for three years, with an optional two-year extension.
