The PRC Broker-Dealers and Investment Advisers Moratorium Act amends the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 to prohibit certain entities from registering with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Specifically, it bars brokers and dealers organized under Chinese laws or controlled by Chinese entities or nationals from registering. It also prohibits investment advisers organized under Chinese laws or controlled by Chinese entities or nationals from registering. The prohibitions will terminate five years after the enactment of this Act.
