H.R.8809

Amends the Foreign Agents Registration Act to clarify the definition of "foreign principal" and enhance transparency in lobbying activities on behalf.

The AIPAC Act amends the Foreign Agents Registration Act of 1938 to refine the definition of "foreign principal." It specifies that entities organized under U.S. or state laws, which influence U.S. public policy or government action in favor of a foreign country or state-affiliated political entity, must disclose this alignment. The Act also allows U.S. citizens to file complaints with the Department of Justice for potential violations.
