Stop Oil Exports to Lower Gas Prices Act

Introduced·5/7/26

Prohibits exports of crude oil, gasoline, and diesel fuel during military operations against Iran.

The Stop Oil Exports to Lower Gas Prices Act prohibits the export of crude oil, gasoline, and diesel fuel during military operations against Iran. The prohibition ends when the President declares the operations have ceased and certifies that the Strait of Hormuz is fully open. The President may waive the prohibition if crude oil cannot be efficiently refined in the United States, requiring it to be refined abroad and then imported back.
