Medicare Physician Data-driven Performance Payment System Act of 2026 transforms the Merit-based Incentive Payment System into the Data-driven.

The Medicare Physician Data-driven Performance Payment System Act of 2026 amends title XVIII of the Social Security Act to establish the Data-driven Performance Payment System (DPPS) under the Medicare physician fee schedule. Effective January 1, 2027, the DPPS will replace the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). The bill includes provisions for the implementation of the DPPS, reforming performance thresholds, and applying adjustment factors.
