Air Traffic Situational Awareness Enhancement Act mandates FAA to install situational awareness tools at air traffic control towers.

The Air Traffic Situational Awareness Enhancement Act requires the Federal Aviation Administration to install certified Airborne Position Reference Tools at air traffic control towers. This applies to towers not equipped with Standard Terminal Automation Replacement Systems or other situational awareness tools. The Secretary of Transportation must also provide reimbursement for any independently acquired systems installed before the enactment date. The Act aims to enhance air traffic situational awareness and ensure proper integration of technology into contract tower operations.
