The Forestry Protection Act of 2026 amends the Tariff Act of 1930 to reduce by 50% duties and import restrictions on finished forestry products if they contain 100% U.S. raw wood material. The President must publish any imposition or modification of duties or import restrictions in the Federal Register at least 90 days before they take effect, allowing for a 60-day public comment period. The Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection must issue necessary regulations within 90 days of the Act's enactment.
