Public Lands Workforce Stability Act prohibits reductions in force and involuntary separations at the Department of the Interior and the United.

The Public Lands Workforce Stability Act prohibits the initiation, implementation, or execution of any reduction in force or involuntary separation at the Department of the Interior and the United States Forest Service until September 30, 2030. This prohibition applies to employees in the competitive service, career employees in the excepted service, and career appointees in the Senior Executive Service. Exceptions are made only for cause on charges of misconduct, delinquency, or performance.
