Rural Child Care Access Act authorizes grants for small and rural child care facilities to improve infrastructure.

The Rural Child Care Access Act authorizes the Secretary of Health and Human Services to provide grants to child care facilities in areas with fewer than 50,000 residents. These grants can be used for modifying, upgrading, or constructing facilities to improve child care provision, training, recruitment, and community engagement. The Secretary must ensure equitable geographic distribution of grants, which cannot exceed $4,000,000 each. The Act also mandates periodic studies and reports on the met and unmet needs of child care facilities and the impacts of funded projects.
