The ZELDIN Act, or Zealously Eliminating Legal Decisions of Ineptitude and Negligence Act, requires the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator to seek congressional approval before dismissing lawsuits or withdrawing referrals to the Department of Justice related to claims of carcinogen release. The Administrator must notify Congress of such actions. A joint resolution of approval is needed for these actions, with expedited procedures in both the House and Senate.
