The Freedom from Ideological Requirements in Employment Act prohibits federal funds from being used to require diversity, equity, and inclusion training for federal civil service appointments or continued employment. The bill defines diversity, equity, and inclusion as practices asserting inherent superiority or inferiority of certain races, religions, or sexes. It also prohibits federal funds from being used for training on critical race theory, intersectionality, or gender identity. The act does not apply to practices preventing sexual harassment in the workplace.
