Youth Climate Leadership Act of 2026

The Youth Climate Leadership Act of 2026 mandates the creation of Youth Advisory Councils within the Environmental Protection Agency, Department of the Interior, Department of Energy, Department of Agriculture, and Department of Commerce. These councils will offer recommendations on environmental issues impacting youth, including programs for disadvantaged communities, climate change mitigation, and pollution reduction. Councils will consist of 15-25 members aged 16-29, with at least 50% from disadvantaged communities.
