Establishes the Agent Orange Veterans Service Medal for Vietnam-era herbicide-exposed veterans and those receiving compensation.
The Agent Orange Service Medal Act establishes a commemorative military service medal, the Agent Orange Veterans Service Medal, to honor Vietnam-era herbicide-exposed veterans and those receiving compensation for related health issues. The Secretary of Defense is tasked with designing and producing the medal, which will be issued to eligible veterans upon request or to their next-of-kin if the veteran has passed away. The Secretary of Veterans Affairs will certify eligibility for the medal.
