Establishes a demonstration program to develop workforce and affordable housing in areas with significant workforce expansion.
The FAST Housing Act, also known as the Facilitating Accelerated Supply of Targeted Housing Act, directs the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to establish a demonstration program. This program will award up to 15 grants to eligible entities, including local governments and public housing agencies, to develop workforce housing and affordable housing in areas experiencing significant workforce expansion. Eligible entities must demonstrate a housing supply shortage and have expanded their workforce due to federal investments.
