The MATCH Act imposes export restrictions on semiconductor manufacturing equipment and components.
The MATCH Act, or Multilateral Alignment of Technology Controls on Hardware Act, aims to impose export restrictions on certain semiconductor manufacturing equipment and components. It defines terms such as "advanced-node integrated circuits," "allied supplier country," and "covered semiconductor manufacturing equipment." The act requires covered agency heads to publish regulations ensuring U.S. jurisdiction over all U.S.-origin covered semiconductor manufacturing equipment and comprehensive restrictions on covered facilities in countries of concern.
