Establishes a grant program for stabilization services to prevent suicide.
The STOP Suicide Act amends the Public Health Service Act to create a grant program for eligible entities to implement models for providing stabilization services to individuals with serious thoughts of suicide. Eligible entities include community-based primary care or behavioral health care providers, crisis centers, and public health agencies. The grants support suicide-specific, evidence-based stabilization services, which may include outpatient care, virtual care, or technology-related innovations.
