A BILL

To reauthorize the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act of 1996, and for other purposes.

1. Short title; Table of contents; 2. Consolidation of environmental review requirements; 3. Authorization of appropriations; 4. Student housing assistance; 5. Clarification of application of rent rule only to units owned or operated by Indian Tribe or tribally designated housing entity; 6. Deadline for action on request for approval regarding exceeding TDC maximum cost for project; 7. Homeownership or lease-to-own low-income requirement and income targeting; 8. Lease requirements and tenant selection; 9. Statutory authority to suspend grant funds in emergencies; 10. Reports to Congress; 11. 99-year leasehold interest in trust or restricted lands for housing purposes; 12. Reauthorization of housing assistance for Native Hawaiians; 13. Community-based development organizations and special activities by Indian Tribes; 14. Housing counseling certification waiver; 15. Eligibility for housing counseling grants; 16. Section 184 Indian home loan guarantee program; 17. Loan guarantees for Native Hawaiian housing; 18. Rental assistance for homeless or at-risk Indian veterans; 19. Continuum of care; 20. Streamlining reporting requirements; 21. Application of Build America, Buy America requirements
