Establishes a supplemental period of unpaid parental leave for Department of Veterans Affairs employees.
The Supporting VA Families Act establishes an entitlement to four administrative weeks of leave without pay for Department of Veterans Affairs employees due to the birth of a child or the placement of a child for adoption or foster care. This leave is in addition to any other leave entitlements and expires at the end of the 12-month period beginning on the date of birth or placement.
