Provides additional unpaid parental leave for Department of Veterans Affairs employees.
The Supporting VA Families Act establishes an entitlement to a supplemental period of unpaid parental leave for employees of the Department of Veterans Affairs. This leave is for the birth or placement of a child for adoption or foster care. The entitlement is in addition to any other leave and expires at the end of the 12-month period beginning on the date of such birth or placement.
