Provides a tax credit for increasing wages paid to child care providers.
This bill amends the Internal Revenue Code to create a tax credit for employers who increase wages for child care providers. The credit applies to wages paid to qualified child care workers at eligible child care facilities. The credit is 5% of the increase in wages, or 7% for facilities in rural areas. The credit is part of the general business credit and employers can elect not to apply it. The credit only applies if the employer's average hourly child care wage increases from the previous year.
