The bill amends title 10, United States Code, to expand the TRICARE program's authority to provide wigs and treat traction alopecia. It modifies Section 1074c to include traction alopecia in the types of alopecia eligible for a wig under TRICARE. Section 1074d(b) is updated to include traction alopecia in the list of conditions eligible for treatment. The Secretary concerned must also issue regulations by September 30, 2026, to warn members of the Armed Forces about the health risks of prolonged use of tightly gathered hairstyles, dyes, and chemical hair products.
