The FOOD for Health Act establishes a pilot program to award grants for Food is Medicine programs.

The FOOD for Health Act, also known as the Fueling Optimal Outcomes through Diet for Health Act, directs the Secretary of Agriculture to establish a pilot program to award grants to eligible entities for Food is Medicine programs. These programs, developed by community-based organizations in partnership with health care providers, aim to provide food or medical nutrition therapy services to participants experiencing, at risk of, or recovering from diet-related diseases.
