Establishes requirements for wellness checks for members of the Armed Forces after significant injury or illness.

The bill mandates that the Secretary of Defense issue regulations requiring wellness checks for members of the Armed Forces after they sustain significant injury or illness or are on sick call. If a member does not respond to an electronic or telephone check, the check must progress to an in-person method. If a member cannot be located, the check must refer to Department of Defense regulations regarding missing or absent members. The bill also requires the development of training courses for personnel on the importance of health and welfare accountability and the consequences of failures.
