The No Rewards for January 6 Rioters Act bars the use of federal funds to compensate individuals prosecuted for their involvement in the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. This includes funds from the Judgment Fund or any victim compensation fund. The Act also prohibits the establishment of any compensation fund for these individuals, even if they are later pardoned. Any court-ordered compensation, such as restitution, fines, or special assessments, paid by convicted individuals will not be refunded.
