Establishes an Office of Small Farms within the Department of Agriculture to support small farms, ranches, and forest operations.
The Office of Small Farms Establishment Act of 2026 amends the Department of Agriculture Reorganization Act of 1994 to create an Office of Small Farms within the Department of Agriculture. The Office will be led by a Director appointed by the Secretary. The Director will coordinate efforts to improve support for small farms, ranches, and forest operations across all Department agencies and offices. The bill defines a small farm, ranch, or forest operation as one that is less than 180 acres or meets another acreage-based definition determined by the Secretary.
