Prohibits discharge of plastic pellets and pre-production plastic materials into water.
The Plastic Pellet Free Waters Act prohibits the discharge of plastic pellets or other pre-production plastic materials into water from facilities that make, use, package, or transport these materials. The Environmental Protection Agency must promulgate final rules to ensure these prohibitions are reflected in wastewater, stormwater, and other permits. This includes setting effluent limitations for wastewater, spills, and runoff from plastic polymer production facilities and other point sources.
