The Foster Youth Workforce Opportunity Act amends section 477 of the Social Security Act to expand education and workforce training opportunities for youth who have experienced foster care. It changes the eligibility age from 16 to 14, allows participation in the program for up to 6 years for those involved in remedial education, and permits the use of funds for apprenticeship programs, general equivalency degrees, and remedial education. The changes take effect one year after the enactment of the Act.
