The bill establishes the Truth and Healing Commission on Indian Boarding School Policies in the United States to investigate and report on the effects of Indian Boarding Schools. The Commission will conduct a comprehensive interdisciplinary investigation of Indian Boarding School Policies, including the social, cultural, economic, emotional, and physical effects of those policies on Native American communities, Indian Tribes, survivors of Indian Boarding Schools, families of those survivors, and their descendants.
