The In Good Standing Adoption Agencies Act of 2026 amends the Social Security Act to require the Secretary of Health and Human Services to compile and maintain a publicly available list of private child placement agencies. This list consists of agencies most recently submitted by states, which must submit lists of agencies licensed or accredited by the state and in good standing with it. States must submit these lists annually by January 1 of each fiscal year. States failing to comply with this requirement will lose eligibility for adoption and legal guardianship incentive payments.
